Challenge

As a freelancer, | was commissioned by Everyday Zero, a premium zero waste office snack provider in Sydney, Australia, to develop a new visual identity, logo, and brand strategy. As the business was still in it's start up phase, I collaborated closely with the two co-founders of the company. I ensured that the visual message of Everyday Zero was in line with their shared vision and mission.

By creating a unified brand guideline that covered elements such as colours, typography, imagery, and language, we were able to maintain a consistent visual identity across all touch points to differentiate the business from its competitors.

Approach

I embarked on the logo design process with the aim of visually representing the fun and approachable brand personality. To achieve visual balance and contrast, I paired the chosen typeface with a custom script typeface. The combination of sans-serif and cursive typography created an approachable visual identity that embodied the corporate yet relaxed essence of the brand.

To further enhance brand recognition, | developed a logo mark using the ‘O’ letter in ‘Zero’. By linking the physical shape of the letter with the concept of the number zero, I created a simple yet memorable mark that could be easily recognised and recalled by customers.

The research & development

By looking at the competitive landscape we were able to strategise how we could stand out from other office snack and catering providers in the Sydney Central Business District. I looked at the types of products and services their competitors provided, physical delivery methods and their brand messaging on website and instagram accounts.
